COP 19: Outcomes (2013)

The 2013 United Nations climate change conference (COP 19) was held November 11- 22 in Warsaw, Poland. The talks were expected to pave the way for a 2015 global deal to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

COP 19 did not result in firm finance commitments or promise ambitious climate action, but they did keep hope alive for a 2015 agreement.

Also a new, $280-million BioCarbon Fund initiative announced at COP 19 will scale up land management and climate-smart agriculture in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
